Against the backdrop of the challenging geopolitical development, the SCCC Legal Chapter Event addresses the impacts of topical legal developments on cross-border relations. More than ever sanctions have become relevant in trade and investment relations and are no longer restricted on bilateral relations, but may be impacted by legislations all around the globe. Following international developments, a new foreign investment control law is under discussion in Switzerland. While Chinese firms retrieve from the New York Stock exchange, listings of Chinese companies have appeared at the SIX Exchange in Switzerland. Travel restrictions and sanctions having negative impacts on businesses, deliveries and other may lead to more cases that seek to be resolved by arbitration.
These and other topics will be addressed by the input key note speakers, followed by a panel discussion. The experts on the panel will take up questions from the audience, provide insights and suggests solutions and ways forward.
